WSR T-BALL PROGRAM

The purpose of the WSR Youth T-Ball program is to provide a fun, instructional and recreational league for Pre-K to Kindergarten boys and girls (3 - 6 years old). The program provides a fun experience that focuses on learning the fundamentals of the game and sportsmanship.  

Additional Details:  Weather permitting, the season will start in mid April and end the last week of June.  The season will start with a few practices in April / early May and then one game per week during May and June.  Games will primarily be held in Shell Rock, however each team will play at least one game in Waverly on the Miracle Field at Cedar River Park.  If your child is 3 years old, the expectation is that you help on the field as teams typically need more help with younger children.  Coaching experience is not required to help coach as the primary goal is to provide a fun atmosphere and teach the basics of baseball and softball.

WSR LITTLE SLUGGERS PROGRAM

The purpose of the WSR Little Sluggers program is to provide a fun, instructional and recreational league for boy and girls currently in Kindergarten and 1st grade. The program introduces a live pitch from a coach and provides an experience that focuses on learning the fundamentals of the game and sportsmanship.

Additional Details: Weather permitting, the season will start in mid April and end the last week of June. The season will start with a few practices in April / early May and then one game and one practice per week during May and June.  Adding or reducing the number of practices held during the season will be at the discretion of the team coaches.  Games will primarily be held in Shell Rock, however each team will play at least one game in Waverly on the Miracle Field at Cedar River Park. Coaching experience is not required to help coach as the primary goal is to provide a fun atmosphere and teach the basics of baseball and softball.

Little Sluggers Rules 

The only equipment needed for both T-Ball and Little Sluggers is a glove.  Helmets and bats are provided, but players can also bring their own if they want.

T-Ball and Little Sluggers families will be required to help with concessions in Shell Rock.  This is a fundraiser to help keep costs down for T-Ball and Little Sluggers.  More information to come after registration.
